Qualified Investigators may apply for VMRF travel grant funds to attend professional, research related meetings. Travel grants are made on a funds available basis. Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

1. Academic rank - Instructor or Assistant Professor

2. Post Doctoral Fellow with pending faculty appointment

3. Applicants must be VMRF investigators with an active grant, approved grant, or grant application through VMRF.

4. Alternately, applicant may be a Post Doctoral Fellow in the laboratory of a VMRF investigator with a grant application through VMRF or a fellowship application through the University for performance in the laboratory of a VMRF investigator.

OTHER INSTRUCTIONS

1. Travel grant will cover registration, transportation, reasonable lodging and meals up to a maximum of $1500.

2. Request for grants must be made at least 30 days prior to scheduled trip.

3. Funds can only be accessed once a year per traveler. The recipient must supply original receipts for all charges.

4. All other travel policies of VMRF shall apply.
